Laser Skirmish Ambush

Ambushing other players is a useful skill when playing Laser Skirmish.

Wikipedia defines an ambush as “a long-established military tactic, in which the aggressors (the ambushing force) take advantage of concealment and the element of surprise to attack an unsuspecting enemy from concealed positions, such as among dense underbrush or behind hilltops. Ambushes have been used consistently throughout history, from ancient to modern warfare.”

laser skirmish ambushIf you are setting up your own surprise attack then you will need to take into account that the sensors only take hits once every 2 seconds (if set on ‘easy’) or every second (if set on ‘standard’).

To do maximum damage you need play with a pattern of: shoot/wait + shoot/wait.

If the opposition player does not move then it will take a minimum of 10 seconds to take 5HP off them if they on easy mode or 5 seconds if they are on standard.

Of course the enemy should be hitting cover, ducking and weaving, once they realize that you are there. And their plan is to effectively return fire. So you need to quickly retreat so you live long enough to setup another ambush position.
